Documentation Unit Manager
The Documentation Unit Manager is responsible for recording the chronology of events and documenting all pertinent activity relating to the spill. All message traffic, correspondence, directives, telephone calls, film footage, pictures, contracts, etc. should be included in this comprehensive documentation. It is extremely vital to the Responsible Party that all actions taken on their part are properly documented for possible future litigation. There can be a separate Documentation Unit Manager on very large spills but generally one of the following positions may also report to the TRC as the Documentation Unit Manager.
