Salvage Coordination and Cargo Transfer Manager

The Salvage Coordination and Cargo Transfer Manager (SCTM) reports directly to the OPS Chief and is authorized, in consultation with the OPS chief, to mobilize needed resources to complete the mission. This individual is responsible for stopping the flow of oil or hazardous substances, if not already done, and for salvaging what is left of the cargo and transferring that cargo to another vessel for temporary storage. Protection of the original vessel from further damage is also necessary to minimize the risk of a larger spill.
