Developing Global Engineers

Below are a list of some projects students could participate in during their experience in the program.  All structures are located at the National Center for Earthquake Res

Investigation and development of semi-active fuzzy logic controllers are optimized to reduce damage in structures subject to earthquake scenarios.

Base-isolation is becoming a popular means of seismic hazard mitigation.  Fuzzy control of semi-active dampers are to be investigated for optimal performance.

Torsional motion is a common occurrence in many civil structures.  Here development of semi-active control systems will aid in mitigate such excitations.
