Research Interests
My research is in the broad area of Environmental Fluid Mechanics, with emphasis on laboratory experiments and data analysis based on simple analytical or numerical models. Current research projects study turbulent mixing processes in two contexts: (1) multiphase plumes and (2) shallow tidal inlets. See the Research pages for more details.
Keywords:
Environmental Fluid Mechanics, multiphase flow, direct ocean carbon sequestration, reservoir management, stratified fluids, shallow flow stability, shallow starting jet vortices, tidal inlet mixing.
Announcements
New! Web page layout has changed. Research and service sections have been greatly expanded. If you are used to finding my on-line course materials on my home page, they have moved to the Teaching pages. Use the links above and to the left to navigate the rest of the site.
New! Spend your summer in Germany through the Summer Research Internship: Germany program. Funded through the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Provides paid international research opportunities to Texas A&M University undergraduate students. Students returning from Summer 2007 in August. More information for next year coming in September, 2007.
