Teaching Interests
My teaching interests are in the areas of environmental fluid mechanics and basic civil engineering, with emphasis on analytical and numerical techniques. In environmental fluid mechanics, I have developed a sequence of courses for both graduate and undergraduate offerings and have published an extensive textbook-style course script on-line. In the area of core curriculum, I have taught two different courses in programming and numerical methods, as well as engineering thermodynamics.
Keywords:
Environmental fluid mechanics, fluid dynamics, environmental mixing and transport, numerical methods, structured programming, thermodynamics.
Courses Taught:
- OCEN 489/689 - Mixing and Transport in the Environment
- OCEN 678 - Fluid Dynamics for Ocean and Environmental Engineering
- OCEN 681 - Seminar
- CVEN 302 - Computer Applications in Engineering and Construction
- CVEN 489 - Mixing and Transport in the Environment
- OCEN 689 - Environmental Fluid Mechanics
- ENGR 111 - Foundations of Engineering 1
- ENGR 212 - Conservation Principles in Thermal Sciences
